Background information about Gas-Oil LLC

Close Gas-Oil LLC was founded in the Kaliningrad region in 1992 to promote the economic interests of Gazprom JSC, as well as to develop and implement the program of gas and energy development of the Baltic region.

In 1991-1992 Lithuanian and Belarusian enterprises were excluded from the unified gas supply system. New geopolitical conditions appeared which was caused by the geographical position of the Kaliningrad region.

Such circumstances presupposed the necessary prerequisites for setting up a modern and efficient system of gas supply management.

Having the necessary facilities, recourses and perspective personnel, the company has been successfully implementing the goals of Gazprom JSC, Gas-Oil LLC takes a leading position for 18 years in the main spheres of its business lines in the Kaliningrad region.

Gas-Oil LLC distributes gas and gas products. It also handles advanced, primary and secondary processing of gas. Our company puts much effort into elaborating and constructing various gas pipe-lines, gas storage facilities, gas-distribution stations and systems. Gas-Oil LLC carries out Gazprom JSC major social program – "Russian Federation Gasification Program", which aims at the gasification of rural areas. Since 2003 approximately 160 kilometers of high and low pressure gas pipe-lines have been laid under this program, which will deliver gas to the houses of small neighborhoods of the regional entities and 27 small towns of the Kaliningrad region.

Gas-Oil LLC also designs and builds gas fueling stations, infrastructure facilities, actively participates in the program of Gazprom JSC employees relocation from the Far North.

Gas-Oil LLC became 100% subsidiary of Gazprom JSC in 2007.

The new directions of Gas-Oil LLC activities associated with compressed and liquefied natural gas technologies, as well as the introduction of natural gas as fuel for transport.
